From Melrose Gardens catalog 1976: FLAIR (Joe Gatty '76) ML 38" Sdg. C30-1: Pacifica X (Brave Viking x Winter Olympics). A flower that at once combines finesse, artistic good taste and ostentation, and that takes a bit of doing. The four inch wide falls build up into seven inch flowers with standards bulging with their fullness—that is ostentation. Lines so carefully and gracefully carved that they move in perfect symmetry—that is artistic good taste. The flow of color graduation from milk-white tips to diaphanous biue-violet shadows at the base of the standards and on out to the milky blue-white of the oscillating fall edges and the matching beards—that is finesse. The whole balance of the sumptuous flowers and the broadleafed, lusty plant will satisfy the most discriminating eye. EC'74 HC'75 NET 25.00. |
