From AIS Bulletin #181 April 1966. Introducing FANFARE ORCHID-Sdlg. #655-1 (#548 involving GOLD RUFFLES, LIPSTICK anJ Hall seedling) x (#494 involving Tell's 49-11C, CLOUD CAP and Hall seedling). Domed and closed standards are orchid. Wide ruffled falls are orchid-blue, bright red beard. Flower changes to blue after second day. This is giving some very blue seedlings and some reverse orchid bi-colors. 35". H.C. 1965 $25.00. Bennett Jones. |
