1868, Salter

'Fabian' (John Salter, Before 1868) TB. A smoky purple diploid. Standards lighter, very smoky, falls dark; beard yellow. Listed as obsolete in the 1939 Checklist. Found growing in Presby Memorial Iris Gardens.
