'Exotic' ( Jack Linse, R. 1953). Seedling SR-2. TB, 48" (122 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-R5, Standards golden rose, Falls golden tan, near Titian, with lilac blaze. Effect is brilliant tan-rose self, suffused gold. Seedling: ( 'Painted Desert' x 'Prairie Sunset') X 'Sultan's Robe'. Easy Breeze 1954.

From Easy Breeze Gardens catalog, 1954: EXOTIC (Linse 1954) 48". Midseason. Seedling SR-2. A great big shoulder-high iris on a magnificent stalk, with three to four branches and a terminal. Jeannie describes it as "a most brilliant tan rose, suffused with gold," and that sounds about right to me. Seemingly a new color! The standards are golden rose, crinkled and upright. The falls, three inches and over across, are golden tan with lilac blaze, and flare horizontally with upturned ruffled edges. The haft is heavily and strikingly marked! The unique styles have a center of lilac, edged gold, with tips of rose blush, handsomely edged in lace, as are the falls. A massive flower, full seven inches across and of finest substance.
