From AIS Bulletin #213 April 1974 Introducing EVENING CHIMES: (Ravenwood x Dark Fury) X Tuxedo. An intriguing dark bitone. The closed standards are a deep purple. The clean, wide, velvety black semi-flaring falls are of heavy substance. Self beard. The whole flower is lightly ruffled. The stalk is strong and well branched. Ravenwood is a fall rebloomer here, so Evening Chimes may carry on these genes. Midseason, 35". $25.00. Echo Hill Garden. |
