From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: EVADNE (Bliss). S. deep rose-violet, slightly tinted buff; F. very rich velvety rose-violet, deeper than S.; F. veined red-brown on white base. Burnt orange beard. Style arms deep yellow with violet through center. A splendid medium size flower of good substance; prolific bloomer; good color and height for landscape effect. The color effect as a landscape variety is a deeper rose than we find in any other well known variety. Height, 36 inches. $7.50.
