From Sunnyside Gardens catalog, 1929: EUPHEMIA, (Lapham 1929). Standards, cotinga purple. Falls prune purple to blackish purple. Similar to but much superior and taller than Archeveque. Free flowering, a rapid grower, and stands up fine as a landscape iris. Each $2.50.
