| From Glen Road Iris Garden catalog 1932: ESCAMILLO (Mor. 1928, Sturt. 1931) This is one of Mr. Morrison’s masterpieces in hybridization and will hold first place in its class for a long time, I believe, as it has size and height in addition to the characteristic branching and rich color of Variegatas: When opening the standards are straw to mustard yellow, hut when fully out they become a clear strong yellow; the falls are Dahlia Carmine flushed darker; 38 in. 20.00. |
