From AIS Bulletin #141, April 1956. Introducing ENCOUNTER (Sdlg # 52-17) Bellerive x (Valor x Dauntless) x Inspiration). This iris received a goodly share of attention during the 1952 A.I.S. convention in St. Louis. A very large flower with golden yellow standards and snow-white falls, evenly edged and trimmed same color of the standards. The flowers are much larger than similarly colored iris and in addition, are attractively waved. A strong grower and fast increaser. Mid-season, 38"-H.C. '52. $15.00. Cliff Benson. |
