From R. Wallace Co. catalog, 1922: EMIR (Yeld, 1918), a tall and vigorous form, allied to Neptune, but with darker falls and rich, yellow reticulations over brown ground colour; free and great!y admired. C IV. 3/6 each.
The 1926 Gen Road catalog gives: "77 Emir (Yeld 1918) A flower of Lord of June type, but more blue in tone; to 42 in. 2.00"
From Sam Carpenter Garden catalog, 1927: EMIR (Yeld 1918) TB-S. pale blue; F. very dark purple-blue. Tall, vigorous, free flowering.
