From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1957: EMBERGLOW (Marx 1955) Each 3.00. Here is a truly radiant iris blend that is sure to be one of the brightest spots in the garden. It attracts not only with its symphony of warm, rich ember colors but especially with its rare, luminous quality that can best be described as an inner glow that lights up the whole flower. The blooms are of large size and produced in great abundance. Midseason to late. 3-1/2 feet. Picture on page 20.
