From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: ELBERON (Koehler). S. red-purple; F. deeper velvety red-purple veined brown-purple on cream base. Orange beard. A small bloom similar in color to Evadne, but not as good as that variety. Height 30 inches $2.00
