'El Morado' (Howard Shockey, R. 1985). Seedling 80-228-C. TB, 44" (112 cm), Midseason bloom. Medium purple; violet-purple beard; slight spicy fragrance. 'Nobleman' X 'Super Indiglow'. Arilian Acres 1986. Exhibition Certificate 1984.

From AIS Bulletin #261 April 1986 Introducing EL MORADO (Shockey '86) TB, 44", M. Medium purple self with violet-purple beards. Large jaunty semi-flaring flowers of heavy wide branching and rebranching-up to 14 buds on established plants. A super husky grower with consistent performance. Definitely for the back of the border. Sdlg. 80-228-C: Nobleman X Super Indiglow. $25.00. Arilian Acres.
