From Easy Breeze Gardens catalog, 1954: EASTER BONNET (Max. & Norton'44) 40". HM '46. Beautifully named, a lovely iris! A warm toned pink with half inch margin of burnished gold around both standards and falls. $1.00.
From Iris Test Garden catalog, 1955: EASTER BONNET. (Maxwell- Norton,1944). Base color rhodenite pink with half inch margin of burnished gold on both standards and falls, heavy to gold at the haft, golden beard. A large flower, 40 inches tall. H. M. 1946. .50
"Was a most gorgeous flower picture. A one-year plant grew forty inches tall with an increase of six large fans. A masterpiece of lovely pink coloring with a margin of gold on both the standards and falls. If I could have only one iris this would be my choice (Idado)." [Unknown author, Varietal Comment.
