From Tempo Two catalog, 2016: EARLY ENCOUNTER (Blyth 2016 Aust) VVE 36”. Standards are bright golden yellow and the falls are burgundy black, set off with a 1/8” edge of golden yellow and a few white marks each side of the beards. The beards are rich gold. This is coming from a long search for an improved variegata: that is, yellow standards and rich red or brown falls with no haft marks. Most are mid season or late bloomers. This one is extremely early, so is another step along the way. Makes plenty of show stems and it withstands early rough weather well for us. Makes a wonderful early display. A sister to Dancing Home. ((V359-2: Devil’s Duchess x Megarich sib) X (V344-1: ((Shiver of Gold sib x Italian Master sib) x Treasure Trader) x (I’m Dreaming sib x Platinum Class sib) x Explicit)). Sdlg No. X262-2.$60.00. |
