From Fryer's catalog, 1925: Standards light amparo purple; Falls phlox purple, lighter shade toward the edge; very fragrant. 36". $5.00.
From Treholme Gardens catalog 1931: DR. CHAS. H. MAYO (Fryer 1923) E.90, G.88, E. to M. S. 40". S. light purplish-lilac; F. phlox-purple; light orange beard; very sweetly scented. The very large pink-toned flowers are in a class with Thais, Mrs. Marion Cran and Frieda Mohr in form and color. A vigorous, well-branched variety, of good form and substance that always attracts attention because of its fine color. Very free-flowering over a long period.
