From G. G. Whitelegg catalog, 1921: DORMAN (Bliss, 1920). A beautiful rich red-purple neglecta, with flowers of good form and medium size. Standards reddish violet; falls red-purple. The plant has an excellent habit of growth making compact symmetrical clumps. It is very free-flowering, and is excellent for massing.
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1923/24: DORMAN (Bliss) $1.00. This variety has multiplied very slowly and I have not found anything of special merit in it. I will, however, give it a very close examination two or three seasons before placing it in the discard list.
