Awaiting original catalog description
From G. G. Whitelegg catalog, 1921: DOLORES (Bliss, 1920). A heavily margined Plicata, of distinct and beautiful colouring. Standards broadly margined with reddish-violet, and falls narrowly edged with deeper colour. Dense brown-purple reticulations and spots on the hafts. This is a fine variety of good habit, a strong grower and very free-flowering.
