From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2011: DOG DAYS (Black ‘11) TB Midseason-Very Late 36” (91cm). It's the Dog Days of summer. The bright sun warms the brown earth as it passes by. Caramel standards are solidly washed rich mid brown. Hafts of strongly flared medium butter yellow falls are red plum transitioning to narrow russet plicata bands then narrowly banded caramel tan. Russet plicata line bisects the falls. Small white patch surrounding dusky tangerine beards is plicata marked plum. Strong, hardy growth produces show stalks with 3-4 branches and 10-11 buds. Sdlg.
