From Bonnewitz catalog, 1923/24: DIONYZIA (Hort) This variety pleased me very much in Sir Arthur Horts garden two years ago, and I purchased a root of it, but it does not seem to be adapted to our American climate, for at the present time, after two years of growth, I have only three rhizomes of it. I mention this fact in order that I may hear from other importers whether they have the same poor results with the Hort varieties. As importers, I believe we should encourage the sale of roots which have vigor, and discourage the sale of those which are not able to stand the rigors of our climate.
