From R. Wallace Co. catalog, 1922: DIADEM (Bliss, 1919). A strong plant, with stout stems. Standards pale mauve. Falls deep reddish mauve, with brilliant orange beard. Very striking plant, and most effective massed by itself. 3½ft. high. C IX. 3/6 each.
From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: DIADEM (Bliss 1919). S. pale mauve; F. deep reddish-mauve; beard brilliant orange. A strong grower on stout stems. 42 inches. $1.00 each; $2.50 per 3.
