From Schreiner’s catalog, 2015: DESTINATION FABULOUS (Schreiner 2015) M. 38” $55.00. A festive lavender Iris, like Destination Fabulous, is a happy addition to every garden, because the color complements a wide range of other shades, as our photo shows at right. The amethyst lavender suggests refinement and something special. Form, balance and proportion are each laudable. Sitting atop the striking zonal spot is a shining orange beard. Conspicuous veining overlays the falls, adding sprightliness. Robust stalks deliver 3 branches, with 6 buds, some double socketed. Seedling #RR1481-1. |
