1993, Annand

'Desert Sketch' (Robert Annand, R. 1993). Seedling# 85-8A. TB, 37" (94 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards blended grey and yellow tinted blue; style arms straw yellow, blue lip; falls sanded blend of grey, brown and yellow, faint blue midline; beards bronze, tipped white. 'Desert Echo' X 'Sketch Me'. Milwood Nursery 1993.

From AIS Bulletin #289 April 1993 Introducing DESERT SKETCH-TB, 37-40", M-L, plicata. Stds. are a subtle blend of grey and yellow with slight blue tint. Straw yellow style crests, blue stigma. Falls are blended grey, brown and yellow with a faint blue mid-stripe. Sdlg. 85-8A: Desert Echo X Sketch Me. (A show-off at the 1992 AIS Convention-see pages 27 and 33 of the October '92 Bulletin). $35.00. Milwood Nursery.
