From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: DESERT CANDLE (Tomp. 59) E.L. 40 in. (Latigo x Desert Song) x Honor Bright. Very large, extra broad petaled plicata of near amoena appearance. Beautifully formed and nicely ruffled, the domed standards are cream overshot with gold and gilt and the falls are smooth, deep lemon yellow with a sprinkling and dotting of coppery toned orange cinnamon. A fine parent, giving great variation in pattern and colors. 1.50. |
