From AIS Bulletin #193 April 1969 Introducing DAWN BLUSH. Sdlg. 66-6B. TB. (Esther Fay X Lilting Melody). This true deep pink self with deep coral beard is a perfect color blending of its parents. This much need "different" color sets it apart from most pinks now in commerce. Tightly held closed standards and near horizontal clean wide falls are very ruffled and fluted with heavy substance. Candelabra branching on 34" sturdy stalks makes this an exciting contender in any show. Wide deep green foliage. Limit one. Mid. HC '67. $25.00. Marvin Olson. |
DAWN BLUSH (M. Olson '69) is a perky pink self, appropriately named. A bright tangerine-red beard; again with lace and excellent form. (Jendel, 1970) A Real Challenge. Bulletin of the American Iris Society, 199(October 1970), 13. |
