From AIS Bulletin #245 April 1982 Introducing DAVID DICKSON (Clough '82) TB, 36", Midseason to late. A vigorous grower with strong, well-branched stalks. Nine to 11 buds per stalk, spread out so well that there may be four blooms open at one time without touching each other. The flowers flare out 6" across and are 4-1/2" high. The round falls are 3" across and are flaring and lightly ruffled. The standards are veronica violet (about HCC 639/2), domed but not fully closed. The color is deeper at the base of the standards. The falls are victoria violet (738) with a touch of white infused near the base of the standards. The orange beards are tipped white. (Royal Voyager X Lord Baltimore. $25.00. W. H. Clough. |
