1974, Buckles

'Dance Beat' (Eugene Buckles by O. David Niswonger, R. 1973). Seedling B71-20. TB, 33" (84 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards deep golden yellow (almost buff); stylearms and beard same; falls red-violet with deep brown 1/4" border. 'Punchline' X 'Glowing Volcano' sibling. Niswonger 1974. Honorable Mention 1976; Favorite Guest 1976.

Gene Buckles would have smiled a broad grin if he had seen this one with its deep yellow S. and red-violet F. rimmed deep brown. $25.00. Cape Iris.
