From Sass catalog, 1937: CYRUS (H. P. Sass, 1931)- Medium sized flowers of fine form and substance on 34-inch stems. Empire yellow with a much deeper splash at the end of beard, giving a glowing effect. Intermediate. (H. M. 1933). 25c
From Maple Valley Iris Garden catalog, 1937: CYRUS (H. P. Sass 1931) V. E. 34 in. A gem among the early yellows and one.that blooms well into the regular season. Fine color, height, form and size. H M. 1932. 25c
