■(TB) 'Crinkled Joy'

1967, Schreiner

'Crinkled Joy' (Schreiner, R. 1967). Seedling# T 431-5. TB, 35" (89 cm), Late midseason bloom. Color Class-RV1P Uniform light lilac self (RHS light phlox-purple 32/3); all-over lace. 'Orchid Jewel' X 'Crinkled Beauty'. Schreiner 1967. Honorable Mention 1968.

Note: sometimes confused with 'Grand Waltz'. 'Crinkled Joy' is more lacy and does not have a white "dart" at the end of the beard or a row of dots along the hafts closer to the beard which are present on 'Grand Waltz'.

Exposure Prefers full sun for optimal performance, may still bloom in half-day shade
Water: Prefers well drained good garden soil, Tolerant of dry conditions in established plants, Intolerant of swampy conditions.
PH Prefers Neutral to basic solis 6.1 to 8.5, quite toleranr of more extreme conditions
Fertilizer Prefers rich conditions on relatively inorganic soils.
