'Creme De Creme' (Joseph Ghio, R. 1978). Seedling# 75-97G. TB, 36" (91 cm), Late midseason bloom Standards warm white with yellow halo on edge; yellow styles; falls warm white, yellow halo; yellow beard. 'Old Flame' X ('Hi Top' x (('Ponderosa' x 'Travel On') x 'Peace Offering')). Bay View Gardens 1980. Honorable Mention 1982.

From Bay View Gardens catalog,1979: CREME DE CREME. 36 inches, mid to very late season. $25.00. A rich warm white with a yellow heart and yellow halo around all the petals: the halo pattern in a unique new variation. Large blooms of great substance and gentle fluting. The branching is flawless and the bud count overwhelming. Still blooming when most irises are long done for the season. The beard is gold. Produces typical Denver Mint multi-nosed, sparsely leafed rhizomes. ”Top of the Top" like the cream at the top of the milk in the days before pasteurization. No. 75-95G: Old Flame X73-122V: (Hi-Top x ((Ponderosa x Travel On) x Peace Offering).
