From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1947: CREAM GOLD 45-100 Muhlestein. (Fort Knox x Dr. Loomis' "Type Dore"--a Sea Shell seedling.) A reverse yellow and white bicolor. Standards yellow-gold, falls white edged color of standards. The flower fades to a cream-yellow self after the first day, in hot weather--hence the name. The shape of the flower follows that of the parent Fort Knox. Cream Gold is such a rampant increaser we are able to offer it at a very modest price. Midseason to late. Height 36 inches. $5.00 |
