From AIS Bulletin #261 April 1986 Introducing COPPER LACE (Leon Wolford, 1986). $30.00. Tall Bearded, 34-36", Midseason. Standards are bright coppery orange with an intriguing narrow edging of mauve. Falls are warm copper with slightly lighter area at hafts and attractive, almost inconspicuous, veining. Orange styles and all petals are ruffled and laced. Wide, bright and bushy carrot red beards. High bud count and good branching. Stunning in the garden and on the show bench. Vigorous, floriferous and a good increaser. Good reports from Massachusetts and Indiana Convention gardens.
