'Copper Canyon' (Chet Tompkins, R. 1950). TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-OD1, Copper-orange self. ('Arab Chief' x 'Tobacco Road') X 'Copperclad'. Fleur de Lis 1950.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: COPPER CANYON (Tomp. 1950) M. L. 38 in. (Arab Chief x Tobacco Road) x Copperclad. A large, heavily substanced flower of flaring form with very broad, satiny finished petals. The color is a blending of bright, new penny cqpper with a deeper copper radiation at the throat. 7.50.
