From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2007: COMPASSIONATE - TB, 37" (94 cm), Midseason-Late. What a delicious sight COMPASSIONATE is. Very round and classically formed flowers are ruffled and lightly laced. For the color, take a little mango, a little apricot, a little cantaloupe, and blend them together. Now blush the center of the standards pink and edge all the petals in slightly darker gold lace. Orange beards enliven these other more mellow colors. Growth is clean and robust. Super branched show stalks are the norm. The parentage suggests it should be a very interesting parent. Sdlg. J17A: Cinnamon Sun X Tropical Magic. Photo inside front cover. $50.00. |
