From Fleur De Lis catalog, 1956: COMANCHE (Sass 1955) EL. 38 in. (Port Wine x Port Wine). A large plicata much on the order of Port Wine but of richer color. Somewhat variable, we have seen this when the border is quite to the red side and again deeper purple. A very brilliant and showy iris. 4.00
