"Sterling Innerst (Pennsylvania) is one of our finer, most innovative hybridizers today, and his releases are finally getting some attention, as was evidenced by his COLORTART ('83) coming in First Runnerup for the Cook Cup. COLORTART is a tall, festive affair done in basic yellow ground, but heavily stitched, stippled, sanded, and washed in a brilliant red/magenta/wine. One will not miss it on the show bench or in the garden. The branching and height in this color pattern of plicata is commendable."
