Seedling# 3361B: (involving 'Snow Flurry', 'Blue Ensign', 'Blue Shimmer', 'Katharine Fay', 'Blue Throat') X seedling# 770A: (involving 'White Frosting', Watkins blue bearded seedling, 'Queen's Favor', 'Winter Pageant'). Echo Hill 1978.

From AIS Bulletin #229, Spring 1978 Introducing CLOUD DRIFT-Sdlg. 3973A. (Involved blue-bearded breeding). A large, shimmering and entrancing white self. The billowing, graceful standards touch and never open. The broad falls are pleated and ruffled. It has a blue beard tipped yellow. The flower is perfection personified, and it remains crisp and fresh during the hottest days attesting to its excellent substance. A dream iris of captivating elegance. Midseason to late, 36".
