From Iris Test Garden Catalog, 1955: CLIFFDELL. (Norton, 1951). Cross between Alexia seedling and Cascade Splendor. Yellow beard, white tipped haft, reticulated brown. Brown gold standards crimped on all edges. Falls brown gold at haft, wide edge brown halfway on falls, rose purple center, crinkled and edged brown. Flaring falls, tight standards, 38 inches tall. Large flower. Well branched. Nothing like it anywhere. Just a real one that is really distinctive. $4.50. |
