Cimarron (Wmsn. No. 980, 1932). (Pedigree Lost). Very large flowers on slender stems–not at all stiff. Effect very graceful. Height, 34 inches; branching well above mid-height; 6 flowers well spaced. Large flowers, 5 inches high and 6 inches wide. S. arching cupped; obovate; Magenta, dark yellowish green and maroon about claw. F. drooping; wedge-shaped; Dahlia Purple. Haft: very light yellowish, darker and maroon veined at the margin. Beard: Cadmium Yellow. Style branches: about like S., the sides broadly Pinard Yellow. Slightly fragrant. A very fine red of unusual well-rounded form. $10.00. [Longfield Iris Farm catalog, 1932].
