Standards white with slight greenish cast on midribs; falls white with greenish undertone; beard red-orange. (('Arctic Flame' x ('Violet Fire' x sibling)) x (('Garden Party' x 'Fair Luzon') x 'Arctic Flame')) X 'Valentina'. Mission Bell 1978. Honorable Mention 1980; Award of Merit 1982.

From Mid-America catalog 1981: CHRISTMAS RUBIES (Hamblen 78). This is the finest red bearded white to bloom in the garden. Flowers are beautifully formed and have nice ruffling ard lace. The stalk is tall ard well branched and will be queen of any garden. Another DYKES?
