From Sunnybrook Farms Iris Gardens catalog 1917: CAVALIER — S. fine clear blue, dome shaped, F. deep velvety blue purple, white at throat with blue veins. Of the coloring of Perfection, but a much larger flower of Pallida type, very strong and upstanding.
