From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2008: CAT CALL (Black 08) TB Midseason-Late 36” (91cm) Listen to the Cat Calls as this flashy dresser parades down the street. Subtle it's not. Ruffled and lightly laced standards and styles are medium yellow with a slight smoky haze. Plum-brown hafts on lavender-violet falls narrow at ends of old gold beards, then spread out again in a mascara cascade of dark plum, becoming red-purple streaks toward outer margins. Hafts and center blot have an interesting polished sheen as if given a coat of wax. Lovely show stalks having 3 branches and 11-12 buds are produced by vigorous, healthy plants. It is an exciting parent for exotic fall patterns. Sdlg. L5A: Brazilian Holiday X Foreign Legion. $50.00. |
