'Carnival In Rio' ( Paul Black, R. 1984). Seedling B81-74. TB, 34" (86 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards rosy orchid blend; Falls bright fuschia with 1/2" red plum edge; bright yellow beard; ruffled and laced; pronounced spicy fragrance. P. Dyer seedling 79-1 5: (('Bayberry Candle' x 'Bamboo Curtain') x 'Copper Capers') X 'Chartreuse Ruffles'. Mid-America Gardens 1985. Honorable Mention 1988.

  • TB 'Carnival In Rio' was blooming at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, zone 4b, approximately May 31 - June 8, in 2017. It has Purple Based Foliage at least during and after flowering, as well as having purple coloring on the spathes. -- HollyJohnson2017 -04-01 - 13 Aug 2017
