'Captivation' (ChetTompkins, R. 1949). TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason late bloom. Color Class Y8L, White ground plicata edged rich orchid. ((Sass seedling# 119-39 x 'Madame Louis Aureau') x 'Nassak') x ('Blue Shimmer' x 'Madame Louis Aureau'). Fleur de Lis 1949, Vista Bonita 1949.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: CAPTIVATION (Temp. 1949) M. 38 in. ((M.L. Aureau x Sass 119-39) x Nassak) x (Blue Shimmer x M. L. Aureau). One of the largest of all the plicatas. Very broad oval petals of pure white with lovely edging of rich orchid. A favorite in our garden and a fine parent. 1.00.
