From AIS Bulletin #241 April 1981 Introducing BRILLIANT EXCUSE-TB, M, 86 cm, Plic #53-4B. $25.00. In·this iris we have a clear deep purple-violet rimmed plicata on a crisp snow white ground. The beards are yellow with violet on the outer end, making an attractive center of interest. The flowers are broad and heavily ruffled, having good substance. 8 to 10 buds on well-branched 34" stalk. A clump in bloom is gorgeous. Gibson Iris Garden. |
