1952, Tompkins

'Bright Brocade' (Chet Tompkins, R. 1952). TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason to very late bloom. Color Class-Y5, Blend, smoky gold flushed lavender-pink, and petunia-violet; falls bordered gold. Lavender and 'Gold Lace' X 'Matador'. Fleur de Lis 1952.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: BRIGHT BROCADE (Tompkins 1952) M. L. 38 in. Lavender and Gold Lace x Matador. A bicolor blend with Tyrian gold standards and falls of rich petunia violet flushed red and gold. Lacy edged. $1.00.
