'Bon Vivant' (Gordon Plough, R. 1962). Seedling # 59-266-37. TB, 34" (86 cm), Early midseason bloom. Color Class-Y4V, Standards gray-buff; falls light red-violet, faint blue line below beard; light orange beard tipped blue. Sibling to 'Kachina Doll' X 'Melodrama'. Eden Road 1963. Honorable Mention 1964.

Note: per introductory listing, pod parent was Plough's 55-54-4, an unregistered sibling to 'Kachina Doll'. 'Bon Vivant' is a sibling to 'Amigo's Guitar' and 'Wild Plum'.

From 1963 Eden Road catalog: BON VIVANT (Plough '63). EM 34. Standards are warm gray or gray buff. Falls are light red-violet or Bishop's Violet, Wilson 34/2. There is a faint blue line below the beard which is light orange tipped blue. Flowers are large and rounded, with a frosty glitter. Three branches and terminal. Fertile both ways.
