1958, Murray

'Bon Bon Pink' (George Murray, R. 1957). Seedling# 9-C-54. TB, 33" (84 cm), Late midseason bloom. Color Class-R1L, Pure-pink self, lighter at haft, no markings; pink beard. 'Tally Ho' X (seedling# 26-52: ('Chérie' x 'Pink Cameo') X 'Pink Formal'). Murray 1958.

From AIS Bulletin #149, April 1958. Introducing BON BON PINK-(Talley-Ho) X (Cherie x Pink Cameo) X (Pink Formal). This is a large pure pink self, except for a slight area of lighter pink at haft-not white. Very broad petals. Firmly closed standards; rounded flaring falls, pink beard. Heavy substance. Height 32", low branching-many flowers. For those who have wanted a real pink iris, this should meet their need. NET $20.00. George Murray.
