'Blueberry Trim' (
James Gibson, R. 1973). Seedling# 44-9C. TB, 32" (81 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards cream ground, rimmed with speckles of dauphine violet, golden brown at base; falls heavy-textured soft cream, 3/8" unusual border of dauphine violet; hafts touched golden brown; yellow beard.

From AIS Bulletin #212 January 1974 Introducing BLUEBERRY TRIM '74. M. 32".#44-9C. $25.00. Unusual and exotic ruffled plicata. Not extra tall, but a vigorous grower. Blooms are 5"X6" and plentiful. Standards have cream ground, rimmed with a speckled Dauphin violet. The haft is golden brown. Falls are soft cream, with 3/8" unusual border of Dauphin violet; haft touched with golden brown. A flower of heavy texture. General effect is a rim of blueberry blue. Most unusual and charming. Beard is yellow. Gibson's Iris Garden. |
