Seedling# 3361B: (involving 'Tranquility', 'White Bouquet', 'Snow Ballet', 'Blue Ensign', 'Blue Throat', etc.) X seedling# 9769A: (involving 'High Above', 'Marriott', 'Snow Ballet', 'And Thou', 'Courtesy', etc.). Echo Hill Gardens 1977. Honorable Mention 1979.

From AIS Bulletin #225 Spring 1977 Introducing BLUE THEME-Sdlg. 773B: (involved parentage). A welcome addition to the elusive white with blue beard class. The very ruffled and crimped standards are white with a whisper of pale blue at the edges. The wide, frilly, horizontal falls are white accented by a blue beard. The crisp, glistening flowers have heavy substance. Excellent branching. A healthy grower with a heritage of many long years of blue-bearded breeding. Truly an iris with flair to entice one's interest. Midseason, 35". HC 1976. $25.00. Echo Hill Garden.
