From AIS Bulletin #225 Spring 1977 Introducing BLUE THEME-Sdlg. 773B: (involved parentage). A welcome addition to the elusive white with blue beard class. The very ruffled and crimped standards are white with a whisper of pale blue at the edges. The wide, frilly, horizontal falls are white accented by a blue beard. The crisp, glistening flowers have heavy substance. Excellent branching. A healthy grower with a heritage of many long years of blue-bearded breeding. Truly an iris with flair to entice one's interest. Midseason, 35". HC 1976. $25.00. Echo Hill Garden. |
